SURPRISE!

It has been almost 5 months since I updated the blog and for good reason - Baby Boy Schwarz shocked us by entering our world 2 months early and our lives were instantaneously turned upside down. So since I had the baby the day I was due to take the 7 month photo of myself to post on the blog, Mike talked me into posting this photo of him "carrying the baby weight" that I took during our birthing class the weekend before (just in time, right?)

To be honest, I was very close to never touching this blog again due to all of the emotions I have experienced with having a premature baby (feeling embarrassed that I was not able to post my 7 month photo for just one example) but it isn't about me anymore as I quickly realized after he was born.

So stay tuned for the story of Ryan McClain Schwarz....

Grandparents' Schwarz and Rodman

This is a picture of our parents on the day they found out about Baby Schwarz - September 2, 2007. The six of us already had tickets to go to see PSU vs Temple at the Linc in November together so Mike and I gave them something to "wear" to the game. It took a few seconds for them to put it together, but as soon as they realized what what we were trying to tell them, they were ecstatic! AND, we couldn't think of a better way to tell them than incorporating Penn State of course :)
